Description:
Qualifications
Degree/Education: completion of undergraduate or graduate degree in nursing
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support; BLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Experience: Continuously employed, for a minimum of 2+ years, as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospital setting
Must have recent experience in acute care hospital Operating Room with Scrub and Circulate
Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any of the 50 states, or US territories
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment
Perform pre-operative patient assessments and verification
Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Monitor patient condition during surgery and respond to emergencies
Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed
Ensure accurate documentation of surgical and nursing activities
Provide post-operative handoff and patient education
Comply with federal, state, and facility-specific healthcare regulations
