Description:
Candidates must hold current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). The role requires advanced preparation in GI Endoscopy Nursing, including completion of recognized post-basic education in gastroenterology/GI endoscopy and a certificate of completion from the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) in Gastroenterology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Recent GI endoscopy experience is strongly preferred. Applicants should demonstrate strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Current CPR certification appropriate to the service area is required, as well as proven strengths in time and resource management, interdisciplinary collaboration, decision-making, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in organizing and prioritizing workload, interpreting and integrating clinical data from multiple sources, and providing effective clinical direction through strong interpersonal skills within a fast-paced endoscopy environment.
