Description:
The Healthcare Records Manager will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the Healthcare Records Department, ensuring the effective, compliant, and secure handling of health records in line with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
Essential Criteria
1. Eligibility
Eligible applicants must, on the closing date of the competition, meet one of the following criteria:
a. Employment Experience
Have satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer within the HSE, TUSLA, another statutory health agency, or an organisation providing services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004
OR
b. Leaving Certificate Qualification
Have obtained a pass (Grade D or higher) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irish
Have achieved at least Grade C at Higher Level in three subjects
OR
c. Equivalent Examination
Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in an equivalent qualification in another jurisdiction
OR
d. Third-Level Qualification
Hold a relevant and comparable third-level qualification at Level 6 or higher on the National Qualifications Framework (QQI)
Note:
Passes must be achieved at Ordinary or Higher Level; foundation level passes are not acceptable
Qualifications must be from the Leaving Certificate Established or Leaving Certificate Vocational programmes
The Leaving Certificate Applied Programme does not meet the eligibility requirements
AND
Candidates must demonstrate the requisite knowledge, skills, and suitability required for the effective discharge of the role
2. Health
Candidates must be fully competent and capable of carrying out the duties of the role and be in a state of health that indicates a reasonable prospect of providing regular and efficient service.
3. Character
Candidates must be of good character and suitable for appointment to the role.
