Description:
Candidates must have successful completion of a recognized competency assessment exam and hold current registration in the relevant field of practice through approved CAMLPR pathways or certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)—applications without this mandatory certification cannot be considered. This role is within the Core Laboratory, requiring strong communication skills, adaptability, and a proven commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Applicants should demonstrate a deep understanding of Indigenous health, Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility, and the historic and ongoing impacts of settler colonialism and systemic racism on Indigenous Peoples and equity-deserving groups, including how these factors contribute to health inequities and barriers to care. A clear commitment to identifying, challenging, and eliminating Indigenous-specific racism and discrimination, recognizing personal and institutional biases, engaging in anti-racism education, and advocating for systemic change is essential.
