Description:
Candidates must have completed a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program and hold current, provisional, or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP). Additional requirements include graduation from a recognized pharmacy assistant program or relevant retail/hospital pharmacy experience, strong proficiency with Windows-based computer applications, and fluency in written and spoken English. Applicants must demonstrate excellent typing skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and effective time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Professionalism, reliability, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Preferred assets include knowledge of office equipment, unit-dose and compounding equipment, pharmacy drug formularies, and experience with word processing or pharmacy software systems.
