Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the relevant specialty.
Demonstrated clinical expertise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, including experience relevant to Gynaecological Oncology.
Strong leadership, clinical governance, and decision-making skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide patient-centred, evidence-based care.
Experience contributing to service development, quality improvement, and clinical audit.
Commitment to teaching, research, and continued professional development.
Role Description
The HSE Mid West is recruiting for a Temporary Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a Gynaecological Oncology focus. The post holder will provide high-quality specialist care within the Maternal and Child Health Directorate, University Maternity Hospital Limerick. Duties will include outpatient, inpatient, theatre, emergency, and multidisciplinary team responsibilities aligned with the needs of the Gynae-Oncology service.
Post-Specific Requirements
Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Medical Council Register in the relevant specialty is essential.
Applicants must meet all requirements specified by the Medical Council for practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
