Description:
The Speech and Language Therapist will join the Adult Clinical Support Team within Kare, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality service that aligns with organisational priorities and departmental objectives. The postholder will operate as a key member of the Speech & Language Department, working within a broader multidisciplinary clinical support team and adhering to all professional standards, guidelines, and policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver activities and resources efficiently to meet service needs.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and diagnostics to address the requirements of the assigned caseload.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and professional standards to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Ensure all clinical records and technical documentation are accurate, current, and readily accessible when required.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, ensuring all equipment is checked, maintained, and compliant with safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with service users, families/carers, and relevant stakeholders to establish goals and deliver person-centred outcomes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across all areas of the service to support integrated care.
• Actively participate in clinical, professional, and service-related meetings.
Requirements
• CORU-recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Experience working with children, young people, or adults with disabilities is desirable (including placement experience).
• Registered or eligible for registration with CORU. Applications are welcomed from 2025 graduates awaiting registration and newly qualified therapists.
• Demonstrated professional values, conduct, and behaviours aligned with Kare standards and relevant professional bodies.
• Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in dysphagia.
• Strong time management, organisational, and IT skills.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
