The Older Persons’ Psychiatrist provides specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for older adults experiencing mental illness, cognitive disorders, and age-related psychiatric conditions. Working within multidisciplinary teams, this role supports comprehensive geriatric mental health care, contributes to service development, teaching, and clinical leadership, and delivers recovery-oriented, age-appropriate mental health services.
