Description:
Applicants must hold current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Level C certification. A recognized post-basic nursing education relevant to the assigned clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required, along with a minimum of one (1) year of recent, related clinical experience. Specialty unit nursing roles require unit-specific specialty certification, while positions in the Emergency Department, ICU, Critical Care Relief Pool, and other critical care areas also require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Nurses applying to critical care and specialty units, including Emergency, ICU, Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Recovery (PAR), Obstetrics, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry, must demonstrate at least two (2) years of recent, relevant clinical experience, ensuring readiness to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care in complex and fast-paced healthcare environments.
