Description:
Candidates must hold current full practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and have completed a recognized advanced nursing specialty program in High Acuity Nursing, or possess a minimum of two years of recent, relevant experience in a high-acuity or critical care setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong knowledge of nursing theory and evidence-based practice within a client- and family-centred care model, along with a thorough understanding of BCCNM standards of practice for Registered Nurses. Proven abilities in high-acuity nursing care, comprehensive patient assessment, care planning and implementation, clinical evaluation, critical thinking, problem-solving, priority setting, and adapting effectively to rapidly changing or unexpected clinical situations are essential for success in this role.
