Description:
Function as part of the nursing care team assisting licensed nursing staff and higher-grade assistants with patient care.
• Deliver respectful, dignified care to veterans.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) (e.g., bathing, mobility, toileting).
• Monitor patients and report changes in condition.
• Use safe techniques with equipment (e.g., ambulation devices).
• Perform tasks such as blood glucose monitoring and purposeful rounding.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, communicate effectively with patients, families, and co-workers.
