Description:
Perform diagnostic evaluations of surgical specimens, biopsies, and cytology samples
Interpret laboratory and pathology findings to support clinical decision-making
Oversee and ensure quality assurance in pathology and laboratory services
Collaborate with clinicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Participate in autopsies when required
Supervise residents, fellows, technologists, and support staff (if applicable)
Ensure compliance with VA, CAP, CLIA, and federal regulatory standards
Maintain accurate documentation in VA laboratory and electronic health record systems
Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and performance initiatives
