Description: Holds continuing responsibility for the day-to-day outpatient pharmacy activities and coordinates on-going work activities for the requisition, preparation, dispensing, control, and record maintenance of pharmaceuticals. Provides advanced pharmaceutical care services, including prescription review and patient counseling. Contributes pharmaceutical input in line with the strategic direction and business objectives of the CMC and the pharmacy department. Participates in updating nursing and medical staff on issues related to medication and pharmacy. Follows up on receiving and verifying orders. Dispenses medicines to patients in accordance with prescriptions. Monitors and addresses pharmacy deficiencies. Adds bills and transactions to the pharmacy system. Monitors pharmacy stock custody and ensures compliance with expiration dates.
