Registered Nurse

Description: Assess and monitor patients before, during, and immediately after surgery, addressing their needs, alleviating concerns, and ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction Prepare and organize all supplies, instruments, and equipment required for surgical procedures, and perform assigned duties within or outside the sterile field Ensure the operating theatre is properly sterilized and maintained in accordance with perioperative nursing standards and infection control protocols Assist anaesthetists and surgeons during anaesthesia administration and operative procedures as assigned Deliver high-quality nursing care and support Advanced Practice Nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure smooth clinical operations and patient safety Perform duties in accordance with clinical policies, operational guidelines, and work instructions, including safe medication handling and proper use of medical equipment Prepare training materials for new staff and health education resources for patients and visitors Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to patient care and unit operations, including consumables and inventory records Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor adherence to infection control practices within the unit Promote a high standard of patient and customer satisfaction, and supervise clerical and support staff to ensure a comfortable patient experience Perform shift duties as required Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time
