Job Summary:
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for building and maintaining a positive public image for the organization. The role involves developing communication strategies, handling media relations, organizing events, managing press releases, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance the company’s reputation and brand presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Public Relations Management:
Develop and implement effective PR strategies to enhance the organization’s reputation.
Manage internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging.
Monitor public and media perception of the organization and provide reports.
Media Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media houses, and influencers.
Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
Organize press conferences, media briefings, and interviews.
Brand Representation:
Represent the organization at corporate, social, and media events.
Ensure brand consistency across all communications and platforms.
Event Management:
Plan and execute promotional events, campaigns, and CSR activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to manage company-sponsored events.
Content Creation:
Develop content for speeches, newsletters, blogs, and social media.
Maintain and update the organization’s website and social media pages.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with government officials, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders.
Address public inquiries and manage community relations.
Crisis Communication:
Develop and execute crisis communication plans to manage reputational risks.
Act as the spokesperson during critical situations.
Reporting & Analysis:
Track and evaluate PR campaigns using KPIs and analytics.
Provide monthly reports to senior management on PR activities and outcomes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.
Experience in media handling and event management preferred.
